Human Centered Design (HCD) focuses on the needs, abilities, and preferences of people to design products and services. In comparison, User Centered Design (UCD) also focuses on users, but with a greater emphasis on user experience and interaction with the product or service. Despite these differences, both approaches aim to develop products that optimally meet user needs and provide a positive experience.
