Backend development refers to the server-side development of web applications. It is responsible for providing a web application with the data and services needed to support the frontend, the user-facing part of a web application. Developers are responsible within backend development for writing server-side code to handle HTTP requests from the frontend, execute server-side logic, access databases to store and retrieve data, and provide the corresponding data to the frontend for display to users. Some common technologies used for backend development are: Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc, Server-side languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, Java, etc, Web frameworks: Ruby on Rails, Django, Express.js, etc, APIs: REST, GraphQL, etc. To work in backend development, developers must have a solid knowledge of server-side technologies, database management, API design and be able to write secure and scalable code. They must also be able to work effectively with front-end developers to ensure that the web application as a whole is functional and meets the needs of users.
The World Wide Web (WWW or Web), refers to the system of interlinked hypertext documents
accessed
via the Internet using a browser. The web was created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989 and has since become the most
widely used way
of accessing information on the internet. The World Wide Web made it possible for the first time to provide and
share multimedia
content interactively and internationally. It is used for a variety of purposes, including exchanging information, conducting
business, entertainment and communication. Websites are usually accessed through a web
browser, e.g. Google Chrome, Mozilla
Firefox or Apple Safari.
The web has changed the way businesses operate. It has opened up new avenues for marketing, sales and customer
loyalty. With an
online presence, businesses can reach a global audience and showcase their products or services. The web
enables seamless
e-commerce transactions, allowing customers to shop from the comfort of their own homes. In addition, companies can use the
power of the web to gain valuable insights through analytics to improve their decision-making processes.
Our company is located in the heart of the creative scene in Karlsruhe on the Alter Schlachthof. The Alte Schlachthof is an area in Karlsruhe's Oststadt on which the municipal
slaughterhouse was located until 2006 and since then a creative park has been
developed with cultural centers and artistic facilities.
The tenants of the creative park have joined forces since 2010 in the association
ausgeschlachtet e.V.. The association has set itself the goal of actively participating in the development of the site and communicating joint projects to the outside world.
The site is located in the eastern part of Karlsruhe. It is bordered to the north by
Durlacher Allee, to the east by Messplatz and to the south and west by Otto
Dullenkopf Park and Gottesaue Castle. The entire site with historic buildings of the
former slaughterhouse and livestock yard is listed as a cultural monument.
The let's dev GmbH & Co. KG has been headquartered at the Alter Schlachthof creative park since 2013.
