Digital wallet cards: Strengthening customer engagement in the digital age

Whether it's credit cards, health insurance cards or even coins and banknotes: In recent years, the wallet has had to surrender more and more of its contents to the digital wallet on our smartphones. Even the numerous printed loyalty cards are increasingly being sent online, so that customers only have to add them at the touch of a button. At the same time, digital cards offer a multitude of advantages - you too can benefit from the new way of customer loyalty!

Always up tp date with dynamic pass updates

With dynamic pass updates, digital wallet cards can always be kept up-to-date. Information is updated as often as required to bring the card up to date. A frequent application example is the classic customer cards in retail. Through dynamic pass updates, the card can be automatically updated to indicate discounts, offers, point totals or even VIP levels and at the same time create an incentive for the customer to add the card to the wallet in the first place. However, pass updates also work for other pass types such as the event ticket. For example, if your seat or the time changes by an hour, the new information can be updated to ensure that patrons can still attend the event with ease. Credits are made possible with the Coupon Pass: with each scan at the checkout, the value can be deducted or offset against a set discount.

For customers and visitors, it is above all the simple and uncomplicated handling to use their wallet cards. But what usable data can companies obtain in the process? Because information such as purchasing behaviour and information about how often the digital customer card was scanned also plays an important role for them. Based on the evaluation of the analyses, customised offers and rewards can be created that correspond to the needs and preferences of their customers and promote the longest possible customer loyalty. Personalised offers are nowadays an important marketing tool to strengthen customer loyalty and generate recurring purchases. Wallet cards are a modern solution to complement the digital lifestyle of customers.

Target-oriented communication: the direct line to the customer

Digital wallet cards open up the possibility for event organisers, clubs and companies to address their visitors and customers in a personalised way. Through the integration of push notifications, targeted information such as special discounts, offers or exclusive events can be sent directly on the lock screen (iOS). Tailored content such as the loyalty programme with increasing points and VIP levels can also help strengthen loyalty and create a feeling of appreciation. Shopping shops and event planners should also consider the possibility of sticky notifications: With different locations within a defined radius, when customers or visitors enter this defined zone, a notification is displayed on the lock screen (iOS) until they leave this area again.

Goodbye plastic and paper waste

If the digital cards for iOS and Android are used, this also contributes a great deal to the conservation of resources and ultimately to the reduction of the ecological footprint. At the same time, companies show the customer commitment around the topic of environmental protection and sustainability. As the need for printed materials such as plastic or paper cards is reduced, less waste is produced, and the costs of producing and transporting such cards can also be reduced. Companies signal to their customers that they are environmentally conscious - an added bonus, especially with environmentally aware consumers. The use of digital wallet cards offers a strong environmental advantage, which in turn builds brand trust and loyalty.

The digital pass for every industry and every company

From clubs to large companies: Digital wallet cards offer you an advanced way to strengthen customer loyalty in the digital age. With the use of loyalty programmes, offers and personalised push notifications, you can engage your visitors and customers easier and more targeted than ever. Physical loyalty cards, vouchers and discount coupons are no longer necessary. Printing costs are eliminated and the effort required for administration and distribution is reduced. Also from a business perspective, valuable insight and analysis into customer behaviour can be gained. Data such as pass downloads, activations or even for which platform the pass was installed can be evaluated to make better decisions and develop personalised marketing campaigns. Digital cards are a modern and innovative solution to strengthen customer loyalty, stay competitive and meet the needs of customers. Interested? We have the right solution for you with our product Kortpress! Test Kortpress right now and without obligation with up to ten free cards.
