Wolfsburg is also home to the AutoUni, a corporate educational institution founded by Volkswagen AG in 2002. In addition to universities, several research institutes are also located in Wolfsburg, including the Institute of Clinical Pathology and the Center for Developmental Diagnostics and Social Pediatrics.
