Barmenia Insurances is one of the largest independent insurance groups in Germany. The product portfolio ranges from health and life insurance to accident and motor vehicle insurance to liability and property insurance.
With its invoice app, Barmenia has taken a decisive step towards digitalization: Insurance customers can now submit all invoices, prescriptions, regulations, treatment and cost plans quickly and easily via the application. This completely eliminates the need to send receipts by mail.
The app was named the best billing app in the private health insurance sector in a study based on customer reviews.
Using state-of-the-art technologies, the exact position of the page captured by the smartphone's camera area is detected and checked for image quality. On-screen hints provide the user with further assistance in determining the optimum position. Once the necessary conditions have been met, the integrated automatic recording function triggers the recording.
In just a few more steps, the user can then complete the submission of the document and immediately receives a status message as soon as the submitted documents have been successfully transmitted to Barmenia's benefits department.
