DATEV eG is a registered cooperative consisting of more than 40,000 members and is involved in a wide range of areas related to data processing. The company is one of the largest IT service providers and software houses in Germany and offers services for tax consultants, auditors, lawyers and medium-sized companies.
Together with PTV Group, an order navigator was developed for DATEV, which is used to plan and control field staff. In the web application, employees can be searched for in the vicinity of the target location according to the consulting requirements and the route to this location can be calculated. Using PTV xServer, not only one, but several routes can be determined and compared with each other at the same time, and historical traffic data can be included for planning.
In addition to the route planner, the tool is also used to maintain employee master data in a central system. It also includes an evaluation of searches made as well as planned routes, which can be used to schedule new employees for highly frequented areas.
