As part of an interdisciplinary research project, a platform for controlling autonomous AGV fleets was developed together with partners from science and industry. The goal was to transfer technological innovations from research into a practical, scalable solution. The focus was on building a system that efficiently orchestrates complex AI workloads while enabling intuitive, user-centered control to sustainably optimize the deployment of autonomous systems in intralogistics.
The interface provides a clear control center for real-time monitoring and control of individual vehicles. All relevant operational data and system states are bundled and displayed in one place. Visual status indicators and structured detail views allow fast assessment and targeted interventions when deviations occur during operation.
The platform enables detailed configuration and monitoring of integrated 3D radar sensors. Sensor data and parameters are centrally accessible and clearly structured. The interface allows precise adjustment, calibration, and real-time monitoring of sensors to ensure reliable environmental analysis.
Order management enables central planning, assignment, and tracking of transport jobs across the fleet. All relevant information such as status, priority, and stations is structured and available at any time. The transparent presentation of workflows and dependencies enables efficient control and flexible adaptation to changing requirements.
