The product for safe machine control and process monitoring (Pilz uses various methods for its sensor technology, such as optical sensors, pressure sensors and other non-contact measurement methods. The app works with sensor data recorded by these technologies, such as light barriers or camera systems).
In this screen of the Pilz sensor app, you can select a specific sensor model. You can now individually adjust the rotation of the sensor to precisely define the detection area. The desired detection distance can also be set exactly. For better documentation, the screen also offers a note function that allows you to add comments and important notes to the individual settings - ideal for a personalized and clear configuration.
On this screen, you can select the right security product, e.g. between radar systems and laser scanners, depending on your requirements and area of application. A practical identification button is also available: The camera function can be used to take a photo of an existing product in order to automatically recognize its model. This function makes configuration easier and saves time, as an existing device can be quickly identified and its settings adopted.
